The ‘Wanderer’ Concept captures the essence of the youthful, outgoing spirit of van life and combines it with the practicality of recreational vehicles - designed to give independence back to users of advanced age that often experience isolation, health concerns, and financial burdens. As a cost effective and assistive living space elderly communities can freely seek adventure in retirement.

HIGHLIGHT

Spatial Design

Based on user needs and the footprint of the vehicle, the amenities of the vehicle should be placed with accessibility in mind. The bathroom and kitchen are located in the center of the interior space, so they are equally accessible from both the living room and bedroom.

Center Table Design

The living room section of the vehicle acts as a command position, using the center table as the main touch point for user interaction with the interface.

Window UI

By using windows as screens, the user interface can be displayed throughout the vehicle.

Marimba-Based Sound Design

With touchable windows and a quiet voice assistant, interaction becomes part of the living space rather than a layer on top of it. Marimba-based sound cues create an interaction language that feels warm, natural, and emotionally intuitive.
