Interactive 3D Prototyping for Hardware Storytelling

Bridging Industrial Design and UX with interactive
prototypes to speed up design alignment

#Hardware-Software Interaction
Mar 2024 - Aug 2024

Traditional hardware design proposals often rely on static renders and physical prototypes, leaving interactive behaviors (such as dynamic lighting and software-hardware interactions) ambiguous.

During the keyboard concept proposal phase at Logitech, I integrated Spline into the workflow, independently creating 10+ interactive 3D prototypes. This allowed the team to demonstrate real-time interactions, successfully aligning ID and UX perspectives and accelerating design decision-making.

Established the CMF design guidelines of 17 gaming products for internal design, engineering and marketing team, and delivered hands-on CMF solutions and documentation through cross-functional collaboration.

REFLECTION

REFLECTION

This internship was all about exploring how new tools could elevate internal design workflows. Creating interactive proposals with Spline was rewarding, but more importantly, it shaped my design direction: I realized I prefer integrating a strong UX mindset into hardware rather than following a purely traditional ID process.
